One of the most memorable stays in France! Such happiness and a privilege to have stayed here for 5 nights in May 2022. This was a 10 to 15 minute walk away from the medieval city center of Sarlat. The wooden cabin is simply unforgettable, cosy and intimate, with an artistic bohemian feel. Our hostess was lovely and kind. We miss our meals on the patio (was really great to assemble simple meals with the very well equipped kitchen--- impossible not to buy fresh produce at the farmers' markets). We hope to be back once again, driving around the incredible region of the black Périgord and look forward to feeding our sheep neighbours, and passing the funny boxer around the corner.

The room is beautiful and equipped, the decor and lighting are very pleasant. Very modern kitchen and bedroom equipment. It is in a village with easy access to restaurants and access roads to the Dordogne region.

Our host was amazing! Eric was extremely helpful and met us at our agreed on time. The place was quiet and we slept well. The location was minutes from the center of the village. We really enjoyed our stay and found that we were close to all that we had wanted to do! We toured Lascaux, Beynac, Castlenaud, St Christophe... all with great ease. We had rented a car and parking was free and across the street to where we were staying. We had an amazing vacation. Thank you!

Beautiful and spacious place. The host is very friendly and kind. It is located to explore many beautiful villages and towns in Dordogne, including Sarlat. Very close to grocery shops. To obtain detailed instructions about how to find the location, it is useful to contact the owner beforehand.

The Villa des Consuls is simply fantastic! We had the Richelieu Suite with private terrace and balcony overlooking the main pedestrian street in Sarlat. It was great! We had absolute privacy, complete tranquility thanks to double windows, and great comfort thanks to the Air Conditioning. The building is a renovated 18th Century house and mixes the charm of the old with the most modern amenities. The welcome was very warm and friendly.
